What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files or similar identifiers stored on or accessed from a browser or device when a website is used. Similar technologies can include pixels, local storage, software development kits and comparable mechanisms. They may support requested website functions, remember choices, help measure website use or support communications and campaigns.

How Next Apex Consulting uses cookies

Next Apex Consulting may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • provide functions requested by visitors and keep the website secure;
  • remember privacy and interface preferences;
  • understand website performance, navigation and content usage;
  • identify technical errors and improve usability;
  • measure campaign effectiveness where permitted;
  • enable selected third-party or social-media functionality; and
  • support marketing or advertising activities only where such technologies are actually used and the required consent or legal basis exists.

Optional technologies must remain inactive until the visitor has made the required active choice. Merely visiting or continuing to use the website should not be treated as consent where consent is legally required.

Session and persistent cookies

Session cookies normally remain only for the duration of the browser session and are removed when the session ends.

Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until they are deleted. Their duration should be limited to what is necessary for their stated purpose.

Cookies may also be first-party cookies set by Next Apex Consulting or third-party cookies set by an external service provider.

Cookie categories

Strictly necessary cookies

These technologies are required for core website functions, security, form operation, session management or storage of privacy preferences. They are active only where technically necessary and cannot normally be disabled through the website’s preference panel without affecting the requested function.

Analytics and performance cookies

These technologies help us understand how the website is used, which pages or content receive attention, how visitors navigate, and where performance or usability can be improved. They should be inactive by default where consent is required.

Functionality cookies

These technologies remember choices or settings and may provide a more personalised or convenient experience. Use only the technologies that are actually implemented and apply the required consent model.

Social-media cookies and embedded-service technologies

These technologies may be set when social-media, video, map, chat or other external content is embedded. Where required, the external service should not load before the visitor has made the relevant choice.

Marketing and advertising cookies

These technologies may be used to measure campaigns, limit repeated advertising, build audiences or provide more relevant communications. If Next Apex Consulting does not use marketing or advertising technologies, this category should be removed from the published policy and preference interface.

Analytics and website statistics

Where analytics is enabled, Next Apex Consulting may collect aggregated or pseudonymous information about visits, page views, navigation, device/browser characteristics and interactions in order to understand website performance and improve content or usability.

Campaign measurement

Where campaign links or advertising technologies are used, Next Apex Consulting may measure how visitors arrive at and interact with the website. Campaign measurement should collect only the information necessary for the stated purpose and should not place personal data from forms or free-text messages into analytics events or campaign URLs.

Cookie and technology inventory

The final published policy should contain an accurate table for every cookie or similar technology that may be placed or accessed.

[PLACEHOLDER: production cookie and technology inventory, one row per technology]

Do not publish a generic or example inventory as though it were the production inventory. Remove unused rows and add every technology that actually operates on the website.

Managing cookie preferences

Visitors should be able to accept, reject or manage optional cookie categories through the Cookie Preferences interface. No optional category should be preselected. Rejecting optional technologies should not block access to content or functions that do not depend on those technologies.

Cookie Preferences control / link
Cookie preferences, in the footer of every page

A visitor should be able to change or withdraw a preference at any time, and withdrawing consent should be as easy as giving it. Changing a preference should stop or activate the relevant technologies as appropriate.

Browser controls

Most browsers allow users to view, block or delete cookies through browser settings. Blocking all cookies can affect essential website functions and may prevent privacy choices or login/session information from being remembered.

Browser-level controls are additional to, and do not replace, the website’s Cookie Preferences mechanism where one is provided.

Third-party and embedded services

If the website uses embedded video, maps, calendars, chat, social-media widgets or other third-party services, these providers may set or access their own technologies. Where consent is required, such services should be blocked or replaced by a consent-controlled placeholder until the visitor makes the relevant choice.

International transfers

Some cookie or technology providers may process information outside Türkiye or the visitor’s country. Before enabling such a provider, Next Apex Consulting should confirm the recipient, country, purpose, legal basis and international-transfer mechanism required by applicable law.

Changes to this Cookie Policy

Next Apex Consulting may update this Cookie Policy when website technologies, providers, measurement practices or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will show the current version. Where a change introduces a new optional purpose or technology, the technology should not be activated until the required visitor choice has been obtained.
